What Our Patients Say
Your San Jose Designer Optometry Center
In our optometry center, we take the time to style you with the perfect frame and the best lens options to ensure you have the best pair of glasses. We carry the most current and popular styles and designer frame brands. We are a licensed distributor of major brand names such as Tiffany, Prada, Gucci, Oakley, Ray Ban, Nike, Versace and many more. In fact, we are the only optical in the mall to carry Tom Ford, a highly sought after brand!
For lenses, we use digitally surfaced and high definition lenses giving our patients crystal clear vision. We offer ultra-thin lenses giving patients a lighter more comfortable feel and a less bulky lens. We use only the best coatings such as Crizal to reduce glare and Transitions to darken when exposed to ultraviolet rays from sunlight.
We fit all types of contact lenses from colored contact lenses, spherical, astigmatism, monovision, multifocal, and hard permeable. We also fit medically necessary contact lenses for high spectacle prescriptions or if you have a big difference in spectacle prescription between the two eyes. When it comes to medical and optical fashion, we have you covered!

Q&A
Dr. Kim Khanh Nguyen Answers Your Eye Care Questions
At what age should my child have his/her eyes examined?
According to the American Optometric Association (AOA), infants should have their first comprehensive eye exam at 6 months of age. Children then should receive additional eye exams at 3 years of age, and just before they enter kindergarten or the first grade at about age 5 or 6. For school-aged children, the AOA recommends an eye exam every two years if no vision correction is required. Children who need eyeglasses or contact lenses should be examined annually or according to their eye doctor’s recommendations. School screenings are not adequate and often miss vision issues. Taking your children to an eye doctor and having an early eye exam is very important because children need the following basic visual skills for learning:
- Near vision
- Distance vision
- Eye teaming (binocularity) skills
- Eye movement skills
- Focusing skills
- Peripheral awareness
- Eye/hand coordination
Because of the importance of good vision for learning, some states require an eye exam for all children entering school for the first time.
